Llynfi Clean Energy Project

Last Energy is working to power and decarbonise industry in South Wales.

In October 2024, Last Energy announced plans to develop a clean energy project at the site of the former Llynfi coal-fired power station in Bridgend County Borough, South Wales. The project, formally registered as Prosiect Egni Glan Llynfi, was announced following the company obtaining site control and initiating the local planning process. As outlined at the time, the proposal involves the potential development of up to four 20-megawatt micro-modular nuclear power plants, intended to provide electricity to local industrial customers and to be privately financed.

This website is maintained to support the statutory planning process. It includes planning documentation submitted as part of the Development of National Significance (DNS) process, a contact form for submitting enquiries or comments, and information required for public engagement. Details of any public meetings, presentations, or consultation activities related to the project will be posted here as they become available.
