Last Energy Hosts Coytrahen Presentation For Lllynfi Clean Energy Project
Over 70 Attend Presentation At Coytrahen Community Hub; Company Planning Further Meetings in 2025
Coytrahen, South Wales — Last Energy, a full-service developer of 20 MWe micro modular nuclear power plants, hosted a public presentation for its project at Llynfi, near Bridgend.
The event, held on 17 February, 2025 at the Coytrahen Community Hub, was an opportunity for Last Energy to present details about its development proposals and listen to feedback from the local community, as well as answer questions raised by attendees and online submissions.
After a formal presentation by Last Energy UK and structured audience Q&A, attendees were invited to stay to meet the company’s project development team and ask follow up questions. Over 70 people attended the project presentation.

In October 2024, Last Energy announced a proposal to deploy four 20 MWe micro-nuclear power plants at the site of the former coal fired power station at Llynfi, Llangynwyd, Bridgend. The project aims to provide electricity to local industry and to the national electricity grid. Last Energy estimates that a minimum local economic investment of £30 million in equipment, services, and other development-related activities will be made as part of the £300 total project expenditure.The project is expected to create at least 100 local full-time jobs.
